Privacy Policy

Data stored on your device

The following is kept only in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device:

• Player notes you write. While sync is off they stay in your browser only.
• Your settings: enabled features, themes, auto-accept rules and saved position messages.
• Anonymous install identifiers: a random ID generated on first run and a signed statistics ID issued by our server. They hold no personal information and are not tied to your FACEIT account.

Data sent to our servers

Some features need server-side processing. When you use them, the extension contacts api.faceitvision.net and sends only what is required:

• The FACEIT match ID of the match you are viewing, to fetch pre-match lobby insights and map prediction data.
• The URL of the match demo, hosted by FACEIT, so our service can parse it into a 2D replay.
• The identifiers of the players in the room you opened, so we can tell which of them show a badge or PLUS cosmetics.
• The anonymous install identifier, used for basic abuse prevention, rate limiting and counting anonymous aggregated statistics (unique active installs).

We never send your FACEIT password or email: we never receive them at all. If you signed in with FACEIT Connect, your nickname and account identifier do reach us, as described below.

Connection technical data

Every request to our servers carries the standard HTTP fields. From them the server can see:

• Your IP address and the rough region it points to.
• Your user-agent: browser, its version and operating system.
• The time of the request and which endpoint was hit.
• Other standard HTTP headers.

This data is only used to process requests and keep the service running. We never use it to identify you and never share it beyond the providers listed under “Who we share data with”.

Bug reports

Bug reports are entirely voluntary. When you choose to send one from the extension, we receive the text you write plus a little context so we can reproduce and fix the issue. This includes:

• Your description of the problem and the category you select.
• Technical context: the extension version, the page you were on, your interface language and the anonymous install identifier.
• For replay reports: the match ID, the round number and the moment in the round where the issue happens.

Report content is delivered to our team through Telegram so we can act on it. Only send a report if you are comfortable sharing what you type, and leave out personal details you would not want us to see.

FACEIT data

The extension reads publicly available data from the FACEIT pages you visit (match rooms, profiles, lobbies) to show levels, ELO, lobby insights and notes in place. This is read in your browser and is the same information FACEIT already shows you.

Your FACEIT VISION account

The extension works without an account. Signing in with FACEIT Connect is needed for badges, for syncing between browsers and for the PLUS subscription.

When you sign in, FACEIT passes us your account identifier, your nickname and your avatar URL. Your FACEIT password and email are never passed to us.

After sign-in the extension keeps a session token in your browser, and we keep the session itself: when it was created and when it was last used.

On faceitvision.net the same sign-in opens your account page. The site keeps the session token in a cookie that page scripts cannot read, and your nickname and avatar in a separate cookie for the site header. Signing out on the site deletes both cookies and the session.

Signing out deletes the session. To delete your account and the data attached to it, write to ext@faceitvision.net.

Settings and notes sync

Settings sync is on and notes sync is off by default. Both switches live in the Account section of the extension.

While sync is on, a copy of that data is stored on our servers next to your account identifier: your extension settings, and your player notes with the nickname of the player a note is about and the text you wrote.

A deleted note stays as a deletion marker for 90 days so the deletion reaches your other browsers. Turning sync off stops new changes from going up.

What other players see

Next to your nickname in the match room, other players with the extension see the badge you picked, the nickname paint, the card background and the PLUS chip. The extension asks our API by the identifiers of the players in the room what to show.

The badge and the chip can be hidden in the Account section, and then other players see nothing.

Paying for PLUS

The payment is taken by the payment provider named on the payment page and on the receipt. You enter your card details on its side and they never reach us.

The provider may ask for an email for the receipt and for data it needs by law and against fraud. It processes that under its own privacy policy.

What the provider passes to us is the payment id, the amount, the currency, the status and the paid period, together with the email you gave the provider and the identifiers of your customer record and subscription on its side. We store those next to your FACEIT account identifier, so that we can switch PLUS on, keep it in step with renewals, refund you and look into a dispute.

Anonymous usage statistics

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics about the extension (which features are enabled or disabled and how often they trigger, the extension version, browser, language, country inferred from the request IP address and number of active installs), only on our servers, with no third-party analytics or fingerprinting. We store only the country code for these aggregates, not the IP address itself.

Crash reports

When something inside the extension breaks, it sends us a crash report so we can find the bug and fix it. Reports go to our own server first and are relayed to Sentry, our error monitoring provider, which processes them on our behalf.

• The error message and the stack trace of our own code. Errors thrown by FACEIT's own scripts are filtered out and never leave your browser.
• Which feature failed, the extension version, the browser and the release channel.
• The address of the FACEIT page you were on, with player and team names stripped out of it.

Crash reports carry no nickname, no FACEIT account, no page content and no install identifier. Sentry receives them from our server rather than from your browser, so your IP address is never exposed to it. On Firefox they are only sent while the optional “Technical and interaction data” permission is enabled for the extension; you can turn it off at any time in about:addons.

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To keep bots from sending fake statistics to our servers, the extension may run one invisible Cloudflare Turnstile check. You will not notice it and there is nothing to click. The check is performed by Cloudflare and we only receive its result. For details, see the Turnstile Privacy Addendum: www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

faceitvision.net runs Google Analytics so we can see which pages people open and where visitors come from. This covers the website only: the extension uses no third-party analytics.

Analytics cookies are set only after you press Accept in the banner. Until then Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode, with no cookies and no identifiers. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the Cookies link in the site footer.

The data is processed by Google LLC as a separate controller. See policies.google.com/privacy for details.

Who we share data with

We do not sell data and we do not hand it to ad networks. It is seen only by the providers the Service cannot run without:

• hosting and database: our servers and the object storage that holds parsed replays;
• Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection and file delivery;
• Sentry: crash reports from the extension, the website and the API;
• Google: website analytics, only after you consent;
• Telegram: delivery of your support messages to our team;
• payment providers: taking payments for PLUS.

Some of these providers sit outside the country you live in, so data may be processed abroad under the terms of our contracts with them. Beyond that we disclose data only where the law requires it.

The grounds we process data on

• Performing our agreement with you: the extension's features, the account, sync, the subscription and refunds.
• Our legitimate interest: bot and abuse protection, rate limits, finding bugs, anonymous usage statistics.
• Your consent: analytics cookies on the website and sending technical data on Firefox. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Legal obligations: payment records and answers to requests we must answer.

Your rights

You can:

• ask what data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• delete your account and the data attached to it;
• withdraw your consent to analytics and to sending technical data;
• object to processing we do on the grounds of legitimate interest;
• complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Write to ext@faceitvision.net and we answer within 30 days. A request about an account asks you to confirm that you can sign in to it.

What we do not do

• No passwords stored by us: signing in happens entirely on FACEIT's side.
• No selling or sharing of your data with advertisers.
• No ad trackers or fingerprinting.
• No documents, ID scans or selfies asked for.
• No card details reaching us: only the payment provider sees them.
• No third-party analytics in the extension: usage statistics stay on our own servers, and the only data that reaches a third party is a crash report.

Browser permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions it needs:

• Storage: to save your notes and settings on your device.
• Access to faceit.com: to render the extension's features on FACEIT pages.
• Access to api.faceitvision.net: to fetch lobby insights, map predictions and 2D replays.
• webRequest: to detect FACEIT match events so features can react in real time.
• identity: to open the FACEIT Connect sign-in window and bring its result back into the extension.

Data retention

Notes and settings stay on your device until you delete them or remove the extension.

Account data is kept while the account exists. Deleting the account removes the sessions, the synced settings and the synced notes, and the deletion markers for notes disappear within 90 days.

Records of payments and subscription periods are kept while we need them for refunds, disputes and accounting.

Replay data parsed from a demo is cached on our servers and may be removed at any time.

Anonymous statistics are kept in aggregate, with nothing tying them to you.
