Privacy Policy

Data stored on your device

The following is kept only in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device:

• Player notes you write, stored locally only.
• Your settings: enabled features, themes, auto-accept rules and saved position messages.
• Anonymous install identifiers: a random ID generated on first run and a signed statistics ID issued by our server. They hold no personal information and are not tied to your FACEIT account.

Data sent to our servers

Some features need server-side processing. When you use them, the extension contacts api.faceitvision.net and sends only what is required:

• The FACEIT match ID of the match you are viewing, to fetch pre-match lobby insights and map prediction data.
• The URL of the match demo, hosted by FACEIT, so our service can parse it into a 2D replay.
• The anonymous install identifier, used for basic abuse prevention, rate limiting and counting anonymous aggregated statistics (unique active installs).

We do not send your name, email or FACEIT credentials. We never receive them.

Connection technical data

Every request to our servers carries the standard HTTP fields. From them the server can see:

• Your IP address and the rough region it points to.
• Your user-agent: browser, its version and operating system.
• The time of the request and which endpoint was hit.
• Other standard HTTP headers.

This data is only used to process requests and keep the service running. It is never shared with anyone or used to identify you.

Bug reports

Bug reports are entirely voluntary. When you choose to send one from the extension, we receive the text you write plus a little context so we can reproduce and fix the issue. This includes:

• Your description of the problem and the category you select.
• Technical context: the extension version, the page you were on, your interface language and the anonymous install identifier.
• For replay reports: the match ID, the round number and the moment in the round where the issue happens.

Report content is delivered to our team through a third-party messaging service so we can act on it. Only send a report if you are comfortable sharing what you type — avoid including personal details you would not want us to see.

FACEIT data

The extension reads publicly available data from the FACEIT pages you visit (match rooms, profiles, lobbies) to show levels, ELO, lobby insights and notes in place. This is read in your browser and is the same information FACEIT already shows you.

Anonymous usage statistics

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics about the extension (which features are enabled or disabled and how often they trigger, the extension version, browser, language, country inferred from the request IP address and number of active installs), only on our servers, with no third-party analytics or fingerprinting. We store only the country code for these aggregates, not the IP address itself.

Crash reports

When something inside the extension breaks, it sends us a crash report so we can find the bug and fix it. Reports go to our own server first and are relayed to Sentry, our error monitoring provider, which processes them on our behalf.

• The error message and the stack trace of our own code. Errors thrown by FACEIT's own scripts are filtered out and never leave your browser.
• Which feature failed, the extension version, the browser and the release channel.
• The address of the FACEIT page you were on, with player and team names stripped out of it.

Crash reports carry no nickname, no FACEIT account, no page content and no install identifier. Sentry receives them from our server rather than from your browser, so your IP address is never exposed to it. On Firefox they are only sent while the optional “Technical and interaction data” permission is enabled for the extension; you can turn it off at any time in about:addons.

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To keep bots from sending fake statistics to our servers, the extension may run one invisible Cloudflare Turnstile check. You will not notice it and there is nothing to click. The check is performed by Cloudflare and we only receive its result. For details, see the Turnstile Privacy Addendum: www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

faceitvision.net runs Google Analytics so we can see which pages people open and where visitors come from. This covers the website only: the extension uses no third-party analytics.

Analytics cookies are set only after you press Accept in the banner. Until then Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode, with no cookies and no identifiers. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the Cookies link in the site footer.

The data is processed by Google LLC as a separate controller. See policies.google.com/privacy for details.

What we do not do

• No accounts, logins or passwords.
• No selling or sharing of your data with advertisers.
• No ad trackers or fingerprinting.
• No third-party analytics in the extension: usage statistics stay on our own servers, and the only data that reaches a third party is a crash report.

Browser permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions it needs:

• Storage: to save your notes and settings on your device.
• Access to faceit.com: to render the extension's features on FACEIT pages.
• Access to api.faceitvision.net: to fetch lobby insights, map predictions and 2D replays.
• webRequest: to detect FACEIT match events so features can react in real time.

Data retention

Notes and settings stay on your device until you delete them or remove the extension. Replay data processed on our servers is cached temporarily to serve the 2D replay and may be removed at any time.
